I have my annual check up at the doctor’s on Monday. I’m excited because I should be at (or at least close to) the “Overweight” column when they print my BMI, instead of in the “Obese” section.
I’m debating what to do about my son, though. Usually I pick him up when I leave work and hang out with him for some father/son bonding until my wife gets home. If I do that on Monday, though, I will have to take him to the doctor with me. I know parents do this–I’ve seen it–but it’s usually mothers, and I’m wondering how I will be received as a father doing it. So what do you think? Is it appropriate to take your child with you to a doctor’s appointment? Vote in my poll and let me know! Who knows, I might even follow your advice.
